Meet Our Staff

Jeanne Stahlheber
Chief Executive Officer
Jeanne Stahlheber serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Illinois (BBBS), one of the largest mentoring programs in the state. She has held this position since June 1992, and provides leadership to a staff of 19 professionals. As the chief administrator of this youth-serving organization, Jeanne has led BBBS through strategic growth and has expanded the reach of BBBS to 7 counties in Central Illinois, currently serving over 900 children. Prior to joining Big Brothers Big Sisters, Jeanne was the Program Director for the Decatur YWCA. She was a Decatur Lakeview High School graduate and holds a Bachelor's degree in Science from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
Corey Burrows
Chief Operating Officer
Corey grew up in Bethany, IL, and attended Millikin University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in History Education. After college he spent two years with the AmeriCorps program, the second at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Illinois, where he currently serves as the Chief Program Officer. He enjoys spending his free time with his wife, Teri, and two sons, Grant and Will, as well as traveling, playing sports, hiking and fishing.
Jeff Parmenter
Chief Development Officer
Jeff is the Chief Fund Development Officer of Big Brothers Big Sisters Central Illinois. He has been with the organization since July 2017 and has worked diligently leading our fund development team. He graduated from Columbia College in 1982 with a BA in Business Management. In 1997, he was honored as a “40 leaders under 40”. Then in 2008 he was honored as the first “Hometown Hero” and is currently the Vice President of the BBBS Illinois State Association. In his free time Jeff enjoys spending time on his boat and cooking. He also bleeds green and gold every Sunday when his Green Bay Packers take the field.
Tonya Larry
Community Partner Manager
Community Partnership Manager Tonya grew up in Decatur, IL. and graduated from Lakeview High School. Before joining Big Brothers Big Sisters Tonya worked at Pla-Mor Lanes for 27 years where she got involved with Bowl for Kids’ Sake. Tonya enjoys spending her free time with her family, traveling, camping, and swimming. Contact Tonya at

Heather Peavler
Enrollment Case Manager & Trainer
Heather grew up in Clinton, IL and Bloomington, IL. She attended Eastern Illinois University and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. After her family fostered and adopted her youngest sister, she became inspired to make a positive impact on the youth in her community through nonprofit work. In her spare time, Heather loves to read, encourage others, spend time with her friends and family, and travel to new places.

Community Partnership Manager
Christina is a life-long resident of Danville, Illinois. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Illinois State University. She worked in the insurance industry in marketing and communications. Christina was Deputy Assessor and Danville Township Supervisor for a combined 13 years. She was the HR Communications Specialist at Danville School District #118 before becoming the Development Director at Schlarman Academy. Christina and her husband, Robb have two adult daughters – Joslyn and Aleksas. Christina enjoys spending time with Robb and her daughters. They have two dogs – Licorice and Thalia. They also enjoy being with family and friends at many gatherings throughout the year. Her favorite shows include The Big Bang Theory, NCIS, Pioneer Woman and St. Louis Cardinals baseball. Christina has always volunteered and or been on a board in organizations she is involved with, her church or her daughters’ schools. Contact Christina at

Elaine Ackert
Case Manager
Elaine is originally from Sterling, IL. She attended the University of Illinois where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology. After graduation, Elaine spent 10 years working with children as a preschool teacher, both in Champaign, IL and Nashville, TN. Elaine joined Big Brothers Big Sisters in 2019. She loves making a difference in children's lives and tries to create a lasting connection with each family and volunteer. She loves cooking, reading, painting, and being outdoors! Contact Elaine at

LeAnn Winkler
Case Manager
LeAnn is a Central Illinois native and a graduate from Illinois State University where she received her Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice Sciences. Her journey with Big Brothers Big Sisters started in 2011 when she worked as a case manager in the Bloomington office. As she relocated to Helena, Montana and then Olympia, Washington she continued to work with Big Brothers Big Sisters in those communities as a Case Manager and Program Director. She has rejoined the BBBSCIL Staff as a Case Manager working remotely out of Boston, Massachusetts. She is excited to be back serving youth in her home community! She is a loyal Bears and Cubs fan and in her spare time she and her husband Brian enjoy concerts, 5k races, trivia nights, and exploring the East Coast with their beloved dog Siri. Contact LeAnn at

Brie Weaver
Quality Assurance Specialist
Brie grew up in Mexico, Missouri. She received a master's degree in psychology from the University of Central Missouri. Brie relocated to Illinois in 2011 after meeting her husband. She joined Big Brothers Big Sisters in 2014. Currently, she processes background checks and runs reports for data collection. Brie has a daughter, Ivy, and a Maltese named Piper. In her spare time, Brie enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling back to Missouri, taking WERQ fitness classes, organizing and decorating. Contact Brei at
Molly McManus
Case Manager
Molly grew up in Lockport, IL. She completed her first two years of undergrad, attending Southern Illinois University Carbondale. She then transferred to Illinois State University. In 2018, she received a Bachelor’s in Anthropology and a minor in Peace and Conflict Resolution. After taking a gap year, she became an AmeriCorps member for BBBS of Southwest Washington in Pacific County, serving as a Match Support Specialist. In November 2020, Molly relocated back to Illinois. She began working for BBBS of Central Illinois in March 2021. She is so excited to again be a Defender of Potential. In her spare time, Molly enjoys spending time with family, hiking, and listening to music. Contact Molly at
Derek Haggard

Derek grew up in Jacksonville, IL. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Western Illinois University, along with a Master’s of Education from the University of Illinois. He has worked in several different positions at BBBSCIL throughout the years and is excited to be back with the agency. Derek is currently the Program Manager for the mentor2.0 program. Derek’s son, Emmett, is four years old and keeps him very busy! In his spare time, Derek enjoys playing guitar, drums, and going to concerts. Contact Derek at
Brian Ganz
Brian Ganz
Program Director
Brian grew up in Clinton County and graduated in 1995 from MacMurray College with a degree in Psychology. He was introduced to BBBS through an internship his junior year. After college, he spent 3 years as a caseworker before becoming Executive DIrector of BBBS of Morgan County in Jacksonville. He facilitated the merger between BBBS of Morgan and Adams County to form BBBS of West Central Illinois. During this time he served as President of the BBBS State Association. He left BBBS in 2008 and has spent the last 10 years in the insurance business. The BBBS bug never left, and now he is back to become a Defender of Potential. Brian is married with three daughters.
